An Omegle Alternative in the USA (2026)
CamDiv is a random-chat service available in the USA, with worldwide video, voice, and text matching, adult guest access, active moderation controls, and no required app download.
What happened to Omegle in the US
Omegle shut down on November 8, 2023. Founder Leif K-Brooks said the stress and expense of operating the service and fighting its misuse had become unsustainable.
Services that use the Omegle label now vary in ownership, privacy, moderation, and bot controls. CamDiv provides worldwide random chat with automated checks on sampled video frames, reporting, human review for suspected underage use, and account, device, and network enforcement.
Worldwide matching from the USA
Press Start to join the worldwide queue for your chosen mode. A match may be in the US or another country, depending on who is available. Tap Next to end the current chat and rejoin matching.
- ›Coast to coast — A match may be in the US, but local availability is not guaranteed.
- ›Worldwide by default — CamDiv currently uses worldwide matching and does not offer a US-only switch.
- ›Anonymous to chat partners — You stay anonymous to the people you meet. No real names, no profile to dig through.
Moderation and privacy controls
- ›Layered moderation — Automated checks sample video frames, while reporting and review support enforcement.
- ›Accountability controls — Confirmed violations can lead to account, device, or network enforcement designed to deter repeat abuse.
- ›Adults only — CamDiv is strictly 18+. Guests confirm they are adults and choose a gender option; signed-in members submit age and gender information.
- ›No full-call recording — WebRTC video is encrypted in transit. Full calls are not recorded, though sampled frames may be processed for safety.
How to start
- ›Continue as a guest or sign in — Confirm you are 18+ and choose a gender option for guest access, or use Google sign-in for account features.
- ›Complete the adult prompts — Guests confirm they are 18+ and choose a gender option. Signed-in users submit age and gender information.
- ›Click Start — Join the queue and connect when another user is available. Wait times vary.
- ›Tap Next anytime — End the current chat and rejoin matching whenever you want.
Using CamDiv from the United States
CamDiv does not separate people by US state or time zone. Free matching remains worldwide, while VIP can request a country or gender preference for 10 seconds before random fallback. Browser, device, network quality, and who is online determine connection time and video quality.
